5 Day Transitional Kindergarten Program
The Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program at The Children’s Center is designed to provide children with extra time to develop essential skills. It focuses on play-based learning, emphasizing social-emotional development, language, literacy skills, fine motor, and early math concepts. Class sizes are generally smaller than those in traditional kindergarten, which allows for more individual attention. Our curriculum is often more rigorous than that of preschool while being slightly less structured than a traditional kindergarten. The goal of TK is to ensure that children are well-prepared for the challenges of kindergarten, making their transition smoother and more successful.
