Programs & Tuition > Extended Day Program

The Children's Center Extended Day Program allows your child to participate in an "extended day" (from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.) for one or two days per week (Tuesday and/or Wednesday) in school classrooms with our teachers. Students bring their own sack lunch, enjoy a fun speaker or activity, and play outside.

Tuesday's program is the highly popular Spanish class taught by Dauphin Ducayet. Wednesday's program encompasses a variety of speakers ranging from community helpers (policemen, firemen, etc.) to children's yoga and cooking classes.

Registration takes place at the beginning of each semester and is open to all 3- and 5-day children. The Extended Day classes for fall 2007 will begin Tuesday, October 2 and continue through Wednesday, December 19. There will be no Extended Day the weeks of Halloween (October 30 and 31) and Thanksgiving (November 20 and 21). You may indicate your preference of either Tuesday or Wednesday on the registration form, and we will do our best to accommodate your first choice. We will continue to offer the option of allowing any 5-day child to enroll for both days if space allows. Your child will be placed in an age-appropriate classroom and may or may not have his/her regular morning teacher for the two-hour afternoon period.

The fall semester tuition is $170 for one day or $340 for both days. This is broken down as $15 per day for 10 weeks ($150) and a semester supply fee of $20. There are no reimbursements for missed classes as we staff our classrooms based upon initial enrollment.

We are pleased to continue our tradition of giving a portion of your Extended Day tuition to fund a scholarship child, and we appreciate your worthwhile contribution.
