Our School > Our Curriculum

The Children's Center is a licensed developmental school for young children ages 2 1/2 - 5. We have 2, 3 and 5-day programs, depending on the child's age. Our school provides age appropriate classrooms allowing the child to socialize with new friends while being taught the basic educational concepts and introducing them to the exciting world of learning.

Our curriculum is based on developmental learning. The Children's Center is very proud of our Body Rhythmics, Music, and Computer programs. Body Rhythmics is designed to establish, within the child, a balanced and rhythmic coordination between body and mind. Our music program uses songs, rhythm, and Orff instruments to enhance and expand learning in the classroom. Our computer lab introduces the children to the basics of computer use through fun, educational software.

Our school day is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In addition, we offer an extended day on Tuesday or Wednesday until 2:00 p.m. The children bring their lunch and are enriched by a variety of afternoon programs.

The Children's Center has a great deal of parental support and involvement. There are many optional volunteer opportunities at our school and we encourage parent participation.
